Gehl: 1083 Telescopic Forklift

These photos are terrible, I couldn't get a good angle on it in the light because the driver was ramming that dumpster around the intersection, which made moving around the scene really difficult and unpredictable. It looked like a lot of fun.

Citroen: Service Truck

Toyoto FJ Cruiser: Matte Black

It's kind of hard to imagine that the FJ Cruiser is Toyota's way of extending the FJ40's legacy. To turn such a rugged looking vehicle into a cartoon car is kind of crazy. The FJ40 was rough and tumble enough that when painted candy colors, the dichotomy made it look amazing, however with the new FJ Cruisers, the standard Calvary Blue and White color way just doesn't work. Matte black is the only color that works for this car.

Chevy Pick Up

First

This Bronco was the first car I photographed when I got my iPhone and now it is the first post on this blog that will be a record of cars that catch my eye while walking around in New York City. My relationship with cars has mostly been a visual one, having only driven briefly in high school before moving to New York eight years ago. I will not pretend to know anything about the inner workings of any of these vehicles, for me they are just magnificent things to look at. Nor will I pretend to be any sort of photographer, these are all quick snaps with an iPhone 3GS.
